The CPS retrieves and allows you to view-only the Bluetooth (BT) Pairing Type. Pairing is the process of establishing a new communications relationship between two Bluetooth-enabled devices. This feature applies on a radio-wide basis.

During this process, a "link key" is exchanged that "bonds" the two devices together.

The radio's and the BT accessory's pairing behavior is also influenced by the Bluetooth Re-Pair Timer selection.

The radio has the capability to pair with more than one BT accessory at a time; however, for security purposes only one accessory of the same type is able to be paired and connected at the same time.
